Methodist and Catholic Reconciliation

The Methodist-Roman Catholic International Commission will present its latest report – God in Christ Reconciling: On the Way to Full Communion in Faith, Sacraments, and Mission – on Friday, 7 October 2022 at 17:30 (Rome) at the Angelicum (Largo Angelicum 1, 00184 Roma). The Methodist-Roman Catholic International Commission is the official theological dialogue commission between the Holy See and the World Methodist Council. The report was released in May 2022, the culmination of five years of international Methodist-Catholic dialogue on the theme of reconciliation. Click here to read the DPCU press release about the report. The presentation is part of the Tillard Chair Lectures of the Institute of Ecumenical Studies of the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (the Angelicum) in Rome. The event will be live-streamed.

The speakers for the symposium include Revd Prof Bryan Spinks, Revd Dr Richard Clutterbuck, Rev Dr Willian Rusch, Ms Gillian Kingston, Abp Donald Bolen, and Prof Fr Bernhard Eckerstrofer OSB. The Rev. Matthew A. Laferty and Fr James Puglisi SA will moderate the event. The symposium is jointly sponsored by the Methodist Ecumenical Office Rome and Centro Pro Unione.
